Genesis: From Creation to Covenant

You are invited to join us as we explore the stories of creation, the fall, and the foundational promises that shape our faith today.  The walk through Genesis: From Creation to Covenant takes us on a journey to the very beginning of salvation history, where God created the world out of his infinite love and goodness. As we read through the book of Genesis, we will encounter some of the most well-known people and beloved moments in Scripture, including Noah and the Ark, the Tower of Babel, Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph.  Through these stories, Genesis reveals both the beauty of God’s original design and the chaos caused by sin, while pointing toward God’s desire to restore what was lost.
Genesis lays the foundation for the entire story of Scripture and shows how God calls his people back into relationship with him while preparing the way for our salvation.  With Genesis: From Creation to Covenant, we will discover together how the events of Genesis prepare the way for Jesus Christ and how God’s promises continue to speak into our lives today.
The cost of materials is $29. If paying by check, it should be made out to Jesus the Divine Word Church. Â
Join the Women of the Word and the Men of St. Joseph as we embark on this eight-week study of the Book of Genesis beginning the weekend of October 9 and 10.  The Men of St. Joseph will start on Saturday, October 10th beginning at 7:30 AM in Doran Hall with fellowship followed by prayer, a video and discussion.  The Women of the Word will meet on Saturday, the 10th, as well, led by Kathleen Cirillo, immediately following the 9:00 AM Mass in the church conference room.  An additional women’s group, led by Sandi Gray, will meet on Friday mornings, beginning on October 9th from 9:15 – 10:30 AM in Doran Hall.Â
